With the mask on my face

Try a home made facial mask.

With more time on our hands, why not give our face a little extra TLC.

Since non of us can get our regular facials, applying a face mask at home once or twice every week or even every day for a while for an extra boost makes a huge difference.

for a quick at-home facial treatment I like the mixture of honey and yogurt, it’s great for hydration and it’s good for clarifying the skin. I have Manuka honey at home so I’m using it but really you can use any kind of honey you have and organic yogurt if possible otherwise regular plain yogurt will do the trick. sometimes I’ll add mashed up avocado or Aloe Vera gel for extra hydration, you can also add a pinch of baking soda to this mixture too but not too much, it helps with cleaning the skin deeper.

Directions:

Mix 1 teaspoon yogurt and 1 or less teaspoon of honey until smooth, spread it on your face and neck avoiding the eye area (I put the mask on with the back of the spoon but you can use your fingers or a facial brush too. leave it on until it dries or 20 minutes, then rinse off and see how amazing your skin looks and feels.

Discalimer:

Now I am no beauty expert and I am not a skin specialist I am just giving you a sample of my own little at home experience so I am not claiming any miracles and I am not responsible for any mishaps that may or may not arise by you reading my blog.

Sometimes the best way to feel beautiful in the midst of the madness is simply letting go and embracing this unusual journey. Your nail polish may chip, and the gray hair might peek through, but you’re rising up during a challenging time. Positivity will go a long way for your beauty too! This is a time when it’s okay not to have to worry about what we look like or getting all dolled up — to be thankful we have a home to be safe in.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so don’t forget to give yourself some grace and patience.
