The Art of the Hand: Jewelry & Oil Painting
My work lives at the intersection of abstract realism and fine craft. Whether I am working with the fluid richness of oil paint or the structural permanence of 18k gold, my process is a search for balance—between the organic and the refined, the ancient and the modern.
From Canvas to Forge
In the studio, my oil paintings, such as the Zest Collection or my botanical series, focus on the weight and light of a subject. I carry that same obsession with texture into my jewelry bench. The stippled surface of a sterling silver pendant or the hand-wrought warmth of the Midas Gaze is meant to feel like it was shaped by human hands, not a machine.
A Unified Vision
I don’t see jewelry and painting as separate disciplines; they are different scales of the same story. A painting captures a moment of “abundance” on a 16×20 canvas, while a one-of-a-kind necklace becomes a personal talisman—a piece of “clarity” you can carry with you.
Every piece, whether rendered in pigment or precious metal, is an exploration of form, light, and the enduring beauty of the handmade.
